National Police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old man found lifeless on Monday inside a car parked at a shopping center in Xàtiva, with no apparent signs of violence.

A police unit from Xàtiva discovered the lifeless body of a man around 1:00 PM on Monday while conducting theft prevention patrols in the outdoor parking lot of a shopping center. The vehicle, where the man was seated in the back with his head resting against a closed window, showed no apparent signs of violence.
Given the lack of ventilation and high temperatures, officers alerted emergency medical services. They confirmed the death and were unable to revive the 52-year-old victim.
The man had personal belongings such as his mobile phone and wallet on him. However, the car did not belong to him; it was owned by another person who had left it parked at the shopping center due to a breakdown, as it would not start and the central locking was not functioning correctly.
Investigators are awaiting the autopsy results to determine the exact cause of death.
