Feliu Terol, from Bádminton Xàtiva, Wins Two Medals at National U-17 Master

The athlete from Xàtiva secures gold in the individual event and bronze in men's doubles in Los Realejos.

Feliu Terol, an athlete from Club Bádminton Xàtiva, has won two medals at the National U-17 Master held in Los Realejos, Canary Islands, securing gold in singles and bronze in men's doubles.

The player from Xàtiva excelled in the N1 competition, reserved for top athletes and associated with higher scoring. In the individual event, Terol dominated his group and advanced to the final bracket. In the semifinals, he defeated Raúl Molina 21-9 and 21-19, showcasing his superiority.
The individual final pitted Feliu Terol against Xoán Balboa, whom he clearly overcame with scores of 21-13 and 21-16, thus climbing to the top of the podium. In the men's doubles category, Terol partnered with Diego Gázquez from CB Ibi. The pair achieved one victory and one defeat in Group B, which earned them the bronze medal in this N1 master event.
This performance solidifies Feliu Terol's position among the leading ranks in the national U-17 category. Meanwhile, the Francisco Ballester pavilion facilities in Xàtiva hosted training camps for the “Se Busca Campeón” program for young talents and for the Valencian Teams, with the participation of several athletes from Club Bádminton Xàtiva.
Xàtiva will host the Autonomous U-13 and U-17 Championship next Sunday, April 19, at the Francisco Ballester pavilion, where 48 athletes, including seven from CB Xàtiva, will compete for medals. The club invites the public to attend from 9 AM to 3 PM to support local athletes. Additionally, on Saturday, April 18, the Alevín category athletes will travel to València for the final day of the Jocs Escolars, seeking qualification for the provincial championship. Finally, from April 13 to 16, the University of Granada is organizing the Spanish University Badminton Championship, with David Polop from Xàtiva representing the Universitat de València.
