Anna Hosts Over 550 Women at the Tyrius Meeting of La Canal, La Costera, and La Vall d'Albaida

The day combined coexistence, tradition, and the celebration of the Half Year of Moors and Christians in the town.

The town of Anna was the setting for the XXIII Tyrius Meeting, bringing together over 550 women from various regions in a day of coexistence and tradition, which coincided with the Half Year of Moors and Christians.

Last Saturday, April 18, the municipality of Anna experienced a historic day with the celebration of the XXIII Tyrius Meeting of the regions of La Canal de Navarrés, La Costera, and La Vall d'Albaida. The event gathered more than 550 women in an atmosphere of camaraderie and tradition.
The day began at 9:30 AM in the Plaza de la Palanqueta with the reception of participants. Afterwards, they enjoyed a welcome lunch enlivened by the group “DolçAnna”, which provided music and a festive atmosphere to the start of the meeting.
Between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM, guided tours were conducted to the Castle Palace of the Counts of Cervellón and the old town of Villa de Anna, also accompanied by the group “DolçAnna”. Additionally, a shuttle bus service was provided so that participants could visit the Lake of the Albufera de Anna, one of the main natural attractions of the municipality.
At 12:30 PM, a mass was held in the Parish Church of the Immaculate Conception, followed by a parade and dance in the Plaza del Surtidor, reinforcing the festive and participatory nature of the meeting. The day culminated with a fellowship meal at 2:30 PM in the Sports Pavilion, bringing a close to a day marked by coexistence among associations from 24 municipalities.

The event was attended by prominent authorities, including the vice president of the Generalitat, Susana Camarero; the autonomous secretary for Equality, Asunción Quinzá; the general director for Equality, Davinia Bono; the deputy for Social Services, Imma González; and the municipal official of Anna, in addition to numerous officials and councilors from the participating localities.
During their interventions, both the president of Tyrius Valencia and the president of Tyrius Anna, along with the vice president of the Generalitat, highlighted the fundamental role of homemakers in society and their daily contribution. The municipal official emphasized the great activity of these associations and their constant willingness to build community, noting that Anna was experiencing one of the most important days of the year by hosting this brotherhood meeting, coinciding with the celebration of the half year of the Moors and Christians festivities, which this year commemorate their 50th anniversary.
