The Civil Guard has arrested a 26-year-old woman, of Bulgarian nationality, accused of three wallet thefts in a shopping center in the province of Valencia, as reported by the Armed Institute.

The investigation, carried out by agents from the Aldaia barracks, began when the security chief of an establishment requested the presence of officers. She reported that a woman was inside the store who might be connected to a theft that occurred there in January.
The officers located and intercepted the woman, who displayed suspicious behavior. After searching her belongings, they discovered she was hiding 315 euros in various denominations among her clothes. The agents reviewed security cameras and confirmed how the woman had stolen a wallet from a customer, taking advantage of a lapse in attention, and subsequently left the store.
To verify if the woman had been involved in more criminal acts, different security recordings were analyzed. These showed how last January, three women had committed a similar act in another establishment, and among them was the identified woman. In this case, the victim had filed a complaint for the theft of a wallet containing personal documentation and 330 euros in cash.
The modus operandi used by the perpetrator consisted of selecting potential victims, stealing their wallets, taking the cash, and abandoning the wallets inside the same store. The 315 euros found among the detainee's clothes were returned to their rightful owner. The proceedings were handed over to the courts of Torrent.
