The Parc Vedat Municipal Pool in Torrent opened its doors for the 2026 summer season with a record attendance of 1,001 people on its first day, Wednesday, July 1st.

The residents of Torrent responded with great interest to the opening of the Parc Vedat Pool, making it one of the most in-demand municipal facilities for the summer months. The inaugural day was attended by the mayor, Amparo Folgado, and the Councilor for Sports, M.ª Ángeles Lerma, who inspected the improvements made.
The facility will remain open until August 31st, offering a space for leisure, sports, and community gathering. Among the most notable upgrades is the comprehensive renovation of the water park's bridges, replacing old wooden structures with new metal bridges treated for aquatic environments, enhancing safety and durability.
A significant pruning of the trees, not carried out for years, has also been performed, and 13 specimens with structural or safety issues have been removed. Furthermore, the main pool's filtration system has been completely renewed with more modern and efficient equipment to ensure water quality.
Mayor Amparo Folgado emphasized the importance of investing in quality, modern, and safe public spaces, highlighting the pool as a crucial meeting point for many families. Councilor for Sports, Ángeles Lerma, stressed the municipal effort to renovate the facility and provide the best possible service.
The pool will maintain its usual hours from Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, extending to 7:30 PM on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. It will be closed on Mondays. The free Bus Piscina Vedat (Line 4) service is also maintained to facilitate access.
