The Torrent City Council has expanded free surface parking by almost 800 spaces since June 2023. A new area was recently opened on San Luis Bertrán street, offering space for approximately 25 parallel parking vehicles. This new zone is located next to the pedestrian bridge connecting the Los Caracoles neighborhood with the Mas del Jutge industrial estate.
The plot, municipally owned and situated next to the l’Horteta ravine, has been prepared with cleaning, leveling, and compaction, in addition to being adequately signposted for public parking use. This initiative complements similar actions taken over the past three years, including spaces in Camí la Noria, Hort de Trénor, and Reina Sofía avenue, among others, bringing the total to 798 new spaces across various city locations.

"We will continue working to expand this network by identifying available municipal plots and reaching agreements with private owners to facilitate parking for families, workers, and merchants."

Amparo Folgado · Mayor of Torrent
For his part, the Councilor for Urban Planning, José Francisco Gozalvo, explains that each new area established is based on a study of real needs and the objective of utilizing underused spaces with agile and economical solutions.
The City Council plans to continue this initiative by identifying new land suitable for conversion into provisional or permanent parking facilities, aiming to improve mobility and convenience in all neighborhoods of Torrent.
