The City Council of Torrent has approved the award of the comprehensive renovation works for CEIP Juan XXIII, a strategic action funded by the Pla Edificant of the Generalitat Valenciana.

The project, which has a budget of 2,804,734.83 euros, aims to deeply update one of the city's oldest educational centers. Following a procurement procedure involving five companies, the council has given the green light to start works that will span a period of 12 months.
The intervention will cover both the Infant Education and Primary Education buildings. Planned improvements include the renovation of the electrical installation, modernization of the kitchen and dining area, and the adaptation of spaces to current safety and accessibility standards, including the installation of elevators and ramps.
Furthermore, the plan places special emphasis on sustainability through the incorporation of renewable energy generation systems with solar panels. Patios, sports areas, and garden spaces will also be renovated to provide a more functional environment for students and staff.
To ensure the continuity of educational activities during the construction period, the installation of temporary modules has been planned. This measure will allow spaces to be released progressively, thereby minimizing disruptions to the daily operation of the school.
