The National Police have dismantled a criminal network dedicated to the sexual exploitation of women in brothels in Torrent and Catarroja, resulting in the arrest of ten people and the liberation of fourteen victims.

Agents of the National Police have arrested ten individuals, seven women and three men, in the province of Valencia for their alleged involvement in a criminal network. This network was dedicated to the sexual exploitation of women in brothels located in the towns of Torrent and Catarroja.
The operation led to the liberation of fourteen victims, who were forced to engage in prostitution against their will. These women were in a situation of particular vulnerability and under constant control by their exploiters.
The investigation began following statements from several victims of South American origin, who alerted authorities to the possible existence of this network. Based on this information, agents from the Provincial Brigade of Foreigners and Borders of Valencia confirmed that the exploitation was taking place in residences used for prostitution.
According to investigations, some of the women came to these apartments believing they would work as masseuses. However, once there, they were forced into prostitution and subjected to exhaustive personal control to maintain the criminal activity. The victims were continuously monitored using mobile phones and video surveillance cameras, and were forced to comply with strict rules. In case of non-compliance, they were subjected to financial penalties or even expelled through the use of violence.
Among the recorded sanctions were penalties for “not cleaning,” “not presenting to clients,” or “absenting from the house without justification,” which demonstrates the level of control and coercion to which they were subjected.
During the investigation, agents located the various properties where the criminal activity was taking place in Torrent and Catarroja, as well as the home of two of the detainees in Alfafar. As part of the operation, three searches were carried out, in which abundant documentation related to the accounting of sexual services and the distribution of narcotic substances was seized. In addition, agents found notebooks with financial annotations, doses of cannabis prepared for sale, cash, and a realistic-looking detonator revolver.
The operation concluded with the arrest of the ten individuals as alleged perpetrators of crimes related to prostitution, membership in a criminal group, and public health offenses, culminating in the liberation of the fourteen exploited women.
