“"There are nights that are not explained, they are felt. And in Quart de Poblet, the night of the Passejà is one of them. The Passejà is not just a festival: it is a living legacy, an emotion that is transmitted without the need for words. We walk with the pride of an entire town and with the responsibility to continue caring for what makes us unique."

Quart de Poblet is preparing to celebrate its traditional Passejà de Sant Onofre on the night of June 9th, a festival with over three centuries of history recognized as a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest.
On the night of June 9th, the streets of Quart de Poblet will once again be filled with fire, gunpowder, and popular fervor in a celebration with over three centuries of history, recognized as a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest of the Valencian Community. The City Council and the association Amics de la Passejà have jointly organized a full week of activities for all ages.
The events will begin on Wednesday, June 3rd, with the inauguration, at 8:00 PM in the Casa de la Cultura, of the exhibition of pictorial and literary works selected in the XXIV School Contest Quart 2026 «Sant Onofre i la Passejà». Following this, at 9:00 PM, the traditional launch of 21 salvos from the Ayuntamiento square will officially announce the start of the festivities.
The program includes other notable events such as the parade by the Amics de la Passejà through the old town on Saturday, June 6th, accompanied by the group of tabals i dolçaines Va de Bo, and the hypnosis and mentalism show «Tu otro yo», by Toni Pons, in the Parc de Sant Onofre starting at 11:00 PM.
On Tuesday, June 9th, the day will begin with the awards ceremony for the XXIV School Pictorial and Literary Contest Quart 2026 at the Auditori Molí de Vila, at 9:45 AM, enlivened by Nuria Nácher. But the central moment of the celebration will arrive at 10:00 PM, when the Passejà de Sant Onofre begins, accompanied this year by Va de Bo and by the S.A.M. La Unió de Quart de Poblet, with fireworks by Pirotècnia Rausell from Bétera.
Along the route, which starts from the Ermita de Sant Onofre, citizens can enjoy the children's fire wheel by the school contest winners, the fire wheel of the Amics de la Passejà, a large pyrotechnic show at the Rotonda de l’Aigüa by Pirotècnia Valenciana from Llanera de Ranes, a fire cave between the Ayuntamiento and the Casino, and a pyrotechnic castle in the Library parking lot. The night will culminate with the traditional entry of Sant Onofre's fire into the church of La Puríssima Concepció, after which horchata and rosquilletas will be offered to the citizens at the association's social club door.
The next day, Wednesday, June 10th, the image of the saint will be transferred from the parish to its hermitage in a morning procession at 11:00 AM, followed by a solemn mass and mascletà. In the afternoon, at 7:30 PM, the Agrupació Musical L’Amistat will offer an extraordinary concert in the Parc de Sant Onofre, before the closing procession at 9:00 PM. Throughout the day, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Avenida Sant Onofre will host the Traditional Market of Sant Onofre.
Finally, on Friday, June 19th, the traditional Pujà infantil de Sant Onofre will take place, in which the youngest participants will star in the symbolic transfer of the image from the parish to the hermitage, ensuring the generational succession of this celebration. The organization of these events is possible thanks to the joint work between the Quart de Poblet City Council and the association Amics de la Passejà, which for over 35 years has kept this tradition alive with great dedication.
