The Paiporta City Council has approved the creation of 15 new positions for the Local Police, to be incorporated during 2026, with the aim of reinforcing citizen security and improving the police force's efficiency.

This measure, approved in the Ordinary Plenary session in May, follows the conclusions of a report by the Local Police Headquarters, which highlights the need to adapt the staff to the demands of a municipality now exceeding 30,000 inhabitants. The call for applications includes one inspector, two officer, and twelve agent positions.
The mayor of Paiporta, Vicent Ciscar, emphasized that "the safety of our residents is a priority." He noted that expanding the force is necessary to address current challenges, such as the increase in urban works and activities, and to ensure professional and effective service to the community.
Ciscar focused on increasing operational staffing per shift, which will enhance citizen service and ensure a swift response in both daily operations and extraordinary situations. "The officers have always stood by the citizens, and now it is the Council's responsibility to provide them with the necessary resources," he added.
The Councilor for Police, Susana Moreno, highlighted that this expansion is based on a "rigorous technical analysis" and addresses the needs communicated by citizens to the council. "We are moving towards a better-prepared city by strengthening municipal public services," she stated.
These new hires aim to increase the police force's operational capacity, ensuring broader coverage across different service shifts and greater mobilization capability for emergencies, in coordination with other municipal departments. The ultimate goal is to consolidate a modern, effective, and citizen-focused public security model, adapted to Paiporta's growth and future needs.
