The town of Paiporta has launched a new parking area on Mestre Serrano Street, adding 220 free parking spaces for citizens.

This action aims to solve the lack of space for vehicles and organize traffic flow at a key point in the municipality. The area, with a total surface of 6,500 square meters, responds to the increase in the local vehicle fleet, which has grown by more than 1,300 units since the DANA episode, reaching a total of 18,185 automobiles.

"This intervention is part of an urban reconstruction strategy that addresses criteria of sustainability, accessibility, and climate resilience."

The City Council seeks for the municipality's recovery to lead to an efficient transformation of common spaces that improves residents' daily lives. In addition to the parking expansion, the intervention on Mestre Serrano Street has included a significant improvement in neighborhood connectivity.
Two new temporary roads have been created, provisionally unifying Poeta Llorente and Pintor Benedito streets, thus facilitating the creation of passage corridors that streamline traffic times. This measure is especially relevant for regulating traffic flow during peak hours and periods of high influx, ensuring greater safety for both drivers and pedestrians.
This new phase is integrated into the 'Pla Aparca' (Parking Plan), a municipal project launched in 2022 with the aim of generating dissuasive parking lots at strategic points in Paiporta. The councilor for Urban Reconstruction and Mobility has highlighted that in these four years of activity, more than 1,000 spaces have been enabled across different areas of the town.
