The Generalitat Valenciana has opened a new period to apply for rental aid for families affected by the October 2024 DANA, with an allocation of seven million euros.

The First Vice Presidency and Ministry of Housing, Employment, Youth and Equality has enabled a new application submission period for housing rental aid, aimed at families who suffered the consequences of the DANA (Natural Water Damage) last October. The deadline to process this aid will be open until September 30, 2026, and the program has a global budget of seven million euros.
This program aims to both continue subsidies for the 1,436 families who already received aid in the first phase, extending them for an additional year, and to incorporate new beneficiaries who could not process their application in the initial call. The aid can cover up to a maximum of 12 months of rent.
The financial amount of the aid can reach a maximum limit of 800 euros per month per household, although it will be limited to the actual rental amount if it is lower. This amount also includes expenses for garages and storage rooms linked to the rental contract.
The requirements to access these subsidies stipulate that the applicant must be the owner or tenant of a habitual and permanent dwelling located in one of the affected municipalities, and that the damage suffered prevents access or safe use of the property. Furthermore, it is an essential condition not to have another habitable dwelling within 30 kilometers of the affected home.
The aid can be applied for in more than a hundred Valencian towns that were hit by the floods and structural damage. Among the municipalities are Paiporta, Alaquàs, Albal, Aldaia, Alfafar, Benetússer, Catarroja, Massanassa, Picanya, Sedaví, Torrent, Alzira, Algemesí, Sueca, Cullera, Tavernes de la Valldigna, Utiel, Requena, Chiva, as well as the southern districts of València, covering areas of L'Horta Sud, La Ribera, La Hoya de Buñol, Camp de Túria, La Serranía, and Utiel-Requena.
For application management, interested parties can submit the application electronically through the Generalitat's electronic headquarters, or in person at the registry of the Territorial Service of Housing of València and at the various points enabled by the regional administration. Documentation proving the property damage and residential situation must be provided.
