A multi-vehicle collision on the A-7, near the Picassent penitentiary center and heading towards Valencia, has caused over eight kilometers of traffic jams. This incident occurred shortly after seven in the morning on Monday, coinciding with rush hour and the busiest day for this road.
Further north, in Almassora, another accident on the N-340 involved three vehicles. Firefighters had to rescue three people who were trapped, as confirmed by sources from the Castellón Provincial Fire Consortium.
Just a few meters from the crash on the A-7, another broken-down vehicle caused slow traffic towards the capital. These two incidents added to ongoing roadworks on the same A-7, near l'Alcúdia, where a bridge is being repaired and the median rebuilt, causing traffic jams for months in both directions.
Additionally, on the same A-7 and heading towards Alicante, slow traffic was reported near Bétera due to vehicle accumulation. Approximately seven kilometers of tailbacks formed before and after the connection with the V-30, as is common during early morning hours.
The V-30, the ring road around Valencia, also started Monday with about seven kilometers of queues towards the A-7, and nearly three kilometers towards the port. On the regional road network, a collision on the CV-10 in Betxí complicated traffic towards Barcelona, although the congestion has since cleared.
