Manises celebrates VIII Sports Week with activities for all

The initiative, starting June 1st, aims to promote healthy habits and recognize local athletes with a varied program.

The city of Manises kicks off the VIII edition of its Sports Week next Monday, June 1st, an initiative aimed at promoting sports practice and healthy lifestyles among citizens.

The program will begin with a photographic exhibition dedicated to Manises' elite athletes, to be inaugurated at Los Filtros park at 7:00 PM. This exhibition will highlight the careers and achievements of local athletes representing the municipality in various sports.
On Tuesday the 2nd, an inclusive sports morning will take place at Rafael Atard square, with the participation of several entities. The goal is to foster participation, integration, and the values of sport.
The week's central event will be the Sports Gala, held on Thursday, June 4th, at 8:00 PM in the Ciudad del Ocio y del Deporte. During the gala, Pedro Martínez Cano will be recognized for his lifelong dedication to sports, particularly in frontenis, along with Javier Oña, the Valencian Ball Club, and other distinguished athletes and clubs.
The program continues on Friday the 5th, at 10:00 AM, with the Tragaleguas School Duathlon at the Ciudad del Ocio y del Deporte, an event aimed at students to promote grassroots sports.
Finally, on Saturday, June 6th, the municipal swimming pool will host a fun day with water inflatables, marking the opening of the summer season. From 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, various recreational activities will be held for all ages.
