Several social entities have called for a protest in Paiporta on Sunday, June 28th, under the slogan “Mazón to prison,” to demand accountability for the handling of the 2024 flash flood.

The call demands that the former President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, be imprisoned for his actions during the flood that caused 230 deaths. The march will begin at 7:00 PM in the Plaça de l’Església in Paiporta, one of the most affected municipalities by the event.
The last mobilization, held on May 30th, already called for Mazón's resignation from his deputy seat and for him not to be granted parliamentary immunity. Victims have warned that they will continue protesting until they achieve “truth, justice, and reparation,” denouncing that “we still don't know the truth.”

During the previous protest, t-shirts with slogans such as “No to Mazón’s immunity” and “20.11, neither oblivion nor forgiveness” were seen. Banners with messages like “Neither left nor right. We want a government that protects us,” “Mazón to prison. Valencia does not want you,” “Less lies and more justice, assassins,” and “When you lie, you hide not only the truth, but also the lie” were also displayed. Another banner read “Now we all raise our voice for those who can no longer”.
