The Nova Muixeranga of Algemesí will hold an emotional tribute this Saturday for the victims of the 2024 floods in Catarroja, one of the areas most affected by the inundations.

The group will perform 'la reverencia', one of the most solemn and emotive human formations in their repertoire, as a collective gesture of respect, mourning, and remembrance for the 230 fatalities and all those affected by the floods. The event will take place at 11 AM in the Parc de les Barraques in Catarroja.
The event will also include an offering of a laurel wreath in memory of all the flood victims. Furthermore, a cheque with the money raised through the '20:11 Ni oblit ni perdó' (20:11 Neither forget nor forgive) t-shirt solidarity campaign will be publicly presented to the Association of Fatal Victims of the 29O Flood.
Organizers highlighted that the tribute “will unite memory, popular culture, and social commitment in an image of great visual and emotional strength,” emphasizing the connection between Valencian cultural tradition and solidarity.
