Juan Ramón Adsuara, the mayor of Alfafar, has reappeared on his personal social media profiles after a nine-month absence. His departure occurred in July 2025, when, in a brief letter, the popular leader informed his followers that he would no longer be active online due to the "hatred and harassment" he was experiencing through comments, citing his "mental health" and family as reasons for withdrawing from public exposure.
This Monday, Adsuara updated his Facebook profile picture with an image of himself from behind and the phrase: "preparats per al futur" (ready for the future). He has not offered further explanations about his return or whether this means he will resume his social media presence as before. In his story, he shared a video about the works on the cemetery road, detailing the ongoing tasks, and published a statement from the popular municipal group criticizing the insults and the political approach of the local PSPV-PSOE.
The mayor's presence was not entirely absent during these nine months, as he featured in official videos on municipal social media channels. His disappearance was solely on a personal level and by his own will, and now it seems he returns with renewed vigor and prepared to face the future, with municipal elections just over a year away.
