Jesús Borràs, from APM-Compromís, has been sworn in as the new mayor of Manises, succeeding Javier Mansilla (PSPV) in accordance with the government agreement for the 2023-2027 term.

The Manises City Council experienced a significant day with the change at the helm of the municipal government. Jesús Borràs has officially taken over the mayoral staff, succeeding Javier Mansilla, as stipulated in the government agreement between PSPV, APM-Compromís, and Podemos for the 2023-2027 term.
This handover marks the beginning of a new phase within a shared project that has governed Manises in recent years, aiming to "continue promoting progressive, transformative policies focused on citizen well-being." The change occurs "within institutional normality and with the intention of reinforcing the stability of a government that holds a consolidated majority."
Representatives from the three forces forming the municipal executive highlighted the climate of trust, loyalty, and cooperation that has enabled this alternation in the city council's leadership. A formula that, as they pointed out, "demonstrates that politics can be built through dialogue, consensus, and generosity in service of the general interest."
With this handover, the governing team faces the final year of its term with the commitment to "complete strategic projects for the city and continue working united to address Manises' present and future challenges."
Regarding the restructuring of management areas, the new mayor, Jesús Borràs, will be responsible for institutional relations, protocol, twinning, communication, and Unesco coordination, in addition to his existing portfolios. Meanwhile, the outgoing mayor, Javier Mansilla, will take on responsibilities for Housing, European Projects, Subsidies, and Tourism. Lastly, contracting and heritage, previously managed by Jesús Borràs, will now be led by APM-Compromís councilor Xavier Morant. The rearrangement of deputy mayorships is as follows, from first to sixth: Javier Mansilla, Rafa Mercader, Carmen Moreno, Ángel Mora, María José Zamora, and Juan Carlos Esteve.
The new phase maintains the shared objective of the progressive forces, "to continue building a more cohesive, innovative, sustainable, and prosperous city for all citizens."
