The event will take place this Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Parc de les Barraques in Catarroja, one of the municipalities most impacted by the DANA. The gathering aims to honor the victims through Valencian popular culture, blending tradition with advocacy.
The central moment of the tribute will be the construction of 'la reverencia,' one of the colla's most emotive human towers, which will be raised as a collective gesture of mourning, remembrance, and memory. Organizers have highlighted the event's visual and emotional impact, intended to provide direct support to affected families.
The event seeks to merge tradition with advocacy and direct support for the affected families in a display of great visual strength and emotional weight.
In addition to the human tower, the program includes an offering of laurel wreaths at the local monument in memory of the deceased and a symbolic cheque presentation of funds raised through the '20:11 Ni oblit ni perdó' solidarity t-shirt campaign. All proceeds will go entirely to the Association of Fatal Victims of the DANA 29O.
To facilitate media coverage, a prior briefing for media and graphic journalists has been scheduled for 10:50 AM at the Parc de les Barraques.
