Catarroja will transform into an open-air cultural stage with the second edition of FesArt, a performing arts festival taking place from Friday, May 29th, to Sunday, May 31st.

The town of Catarroja will host the second edition of FesArt this year, the performing arts festival driven by local professionals Rafael Perets and Melissa Usina, with the support of the Culture department. Following its initial edition in 2025, the festival is consolidating itself as an independent event with its own identity, reinforcing the municipal commitment to bring culture to neighborhoods and fill public spaces with accessible artistic proposals.
The program will combine contemporary dance, circus, and family shows in emblematic locations such as the Plaça del Mercat and the Parc de les Barraques. All activities will be free and aimed at audiences of all ages. The Councilor for Culture, Dolors Gimeno, highlighted FesArt's aim to "consolidate a stable and open street cultural program, bringing performing arts to all citizens and creating spaces for coexistence and participation".
The festival will kick off on Friday, May 29th, at 7:00 PM in the Plaça del Mercat with the "Talent local" gala, a dance showcase featuring schools from Catarroja and Massanassa. Following this, at 7:30 PM, "IntercettAzioni" by Mandala Dance Company will be presented.
Saturday's events will begin at the Plaça del Mercat at 11:00 AM with "Grietas" by Alba de Miguel, followed by "BO" by Brodas Bros at 11:30 AM. In the evening, at 8:00 PM, the Parc de les Barraques will host "Sublunar" by Bot Project, a contemporary circus performance for families.
On Sunday, May 31st, the festival will conclude at 7:00 PM in the Parc de les Barraques with "La Banda" by Otradanza, also aimed at families. Gimeno added that "from the City Council, we continue to advocate for culture to be an element of emotional reconstruction, social cohesion, and revitalization of our public spaces".
With this second edition, FesArt reaffirms its role as an emerging cultural event in the municipality, consolidating Catarroja's commitment to contemporary performing arts and local culture.
