This initiative, organized by the Commerce department of the Albal City Council with the collaboration of the Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Commerce, and Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana, will bring together artisans, producers, and visitors. The main objective is to value proximity products, boost local commerce, and give visibility to the artisanal and gastronomic work of the l'Horta Sud region.
Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy a varied program for all audiences. Highlights include the preparation and tasting of a traditional dish, children's workshops, Valencian product tastings, and live music performances. The Fair will be open in the morning, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and in the afternoon, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
The Councilor for Culture and Commerce, Raquel García, has emphasized the importance of initiatives like this in fostering synergies between small local producers and citizens. García highlighted that the Fair represents an opportunity to bring proximity products closer to new audiences, many of whom are unaware of the quality and variety of the municipality's artisanal and gastronomic offerings.
Furthermore, the head of Commerce noted that these events facilitate direct contact between producers and consumers, creating new collaboration opportunities. The Fair also contributes to promoting responsible consumption habits and supporting the circular economy, valuing artisanal work and proximity products.
The ultimate goal, as explained by García, is to consolidate this event as an intergenerational meeting point that strengthens the social life of Albal and fosters spaces for coexistence. With this initiative, the City Council reaffirms its commitment to promoting local commerce, Valencian gastronomy, and supporting artisanal sectors.
