The Pepe Claramunt football stadium in Puçol hosts a new mural from the VCF Urban Art Route, dedicated to one of Valencianism's greatest legends.

The town of Puçol, birthplace of Pepe Claramunt (born July 10, 1946), was the setting for the official inauguration of a mural created by artist Dridali. The event, held on June 20, brought together family, friends, and neighbors to pay tribute to the man declared an Adopted Son of Puçol in 1999 and who will receive an honorary award in February 2026.
The tribute highlighted both Claramunt's human legacy and his extraordinary sporting career. Considered one of the best footballers in the history of Valencia CF and Spanish football, he was an international captain and an undisputed midfield leader.
For twelve seasons, Claramunt wore the Valencia CF jersey, playing nearly 450 official matches and scoring 90 goals. With the Mestalla club, he won the 1967 Cup and the 1970-71 League title.
His impact also extended internationally. He debuted with the Spanish senior national team at 22 and became the first Valencian to captain 'La Roja', with whom he played 23 games and scored four goals.

"This mural joins other actions promoted by the VCF Foundation, the Puçol City Council, and the Valencia Provincial Council within the 'Any Claramunt'."

The event was attended by other Valencianist figures such as Arias, Forment, and Guillot, along with Inmaculada Ibáñez, director of the VCF Foundation, and Paz Carceller, mayoress of Puçol. Other initiatives of the 'Any Claramunt' include the publication of a children's and youth storybook and Pepe Claramunt performing the honorary kick-off on May 2nd in the match between Valencia CF and Atlético de Madrid.
