Paterna City Council has given final approval for the transfer of municipal land in the Santa Rita neighborhood for the construction of the future Advanced Health Campus, a pioneering healthcare infrastructure.

PATERNA. The Paterna City Council approved this Thursday in a plenary session the definitive transfer of the municipal plot located on Benimar street, in the Santa Rita neighborhood, for the construction of the future Advanced Health Campus. This pioneering healthcare infrastructure will represent a significant advancement for the city's care services and is set to become a benchmark in the Valencian Community.
With this plenary agreement, the council completes the necessary urban planning procedure for the Ministry of Health to develop this ambitious project on a municipal plot of nearly 15,000 square meters.
The mayor of Paterna, Juan Antonio Sagredo, highlighted that “the approval of this transfer represents a decisive step towards making a long-awaited infrastructure a reality, which will strengthen healthcare for our residents and continue to improve public services in a city that already exceeds 77,000 inhabitants”.
Likewise, the mayor emphasized that “we are facing one of the most important healthcare projects in Paterna's recent history, an initiative that will contribute to offering closer, more modern, and efficient care, as well as consolidating our city as a hub of innovation and reference services”.
The future Advanced Health Campus will have an estimated investment of 75.3 million euros and will feature over 14,500 square meters of built area distributed across three floors. The complex will integrate a health center and an advanced healthcare center in the same space to improve coordination between primary and specialized care, promoting more agile, accessible, and comprehensive healthcare.
Among the planned services are family medicine and pediatric consultations, women's health, preventive dentistry, rehabilitation, advanced wound care, day hospital, day-case surgery, and a specialized breast cancer unit. It will also include an emergency service equipped with diagnostic imaging technology, including CT scans, MRI, and conventional radiology.
The project also includes spaces for training and teaching, multipurpose classrooms, a gymnasium, landscaped areas, and over 250 parking spaces, incorporating criteria for energy efficiency, digitalization, and healthcare innovation.
Located in a strategic area of the Santa Rita neighborhood, next to the Paterna courts and close to the National Police station, the new campus will have excellent public transport connections and direct access to the main communication routes of the metropolitan area.
This healthcare infrastructure is expected to serve an approximate population of 40,000 people, strengthening Paterna's healthcare network and helping to alleviate pressure on other healthcare centers in the surrounding area.
With this plenary approval, the Paterna City Council continues to promote strategic projects that adapt public infrastructure and services to the city's growth, improving citizens' quality of life and responding to the needs of an increasingly large and dynamic population.
