Moncada City Council will soon finalize the comprehensive overhaul of its public lighting system by installing 950 new LED lights, enhancing efficiency and safety across the municipality.

In the coming weeks, Moncada will undertake a new project to improve public lighting, completing the replacement of traditional luminaires with LED technology throughout the municipal area.
The initiative, driven by the Public Lighting Department and funded by the 2024-2027 Investment Plan, involves an investment of €200,000. These funds will be used to install approximately 950 new LED luminaires in various neighborhoods and areas of the municipality, including Masías.
This project will mark the completion of the full renovation of Moncada's public lighting network. A more efficient, sustainable system with enhanced luminous capacity will be implemented, improving visibility and reinforcing safety in streets and public spaces.

"The lighting renovation helps us reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs, while simultaneously improving illumination in streets and public spaces. It's an action that allows us to continue updating municipal infrastructure with efficiency and sustainability criteria."

Amparo Orts · Mayor of Moncada
The Mayor of Moncada, Amparo Orts, highlighted that the project will further enhance the efficiency of municipal public services.

"With this investment, we ensure that all of Moncada, including neighborhoods and residential areas like Masías, now has low-consumption, high-efficiency LED lighting, also improving visibility and safety in streets and public spaces."

Martín Pérez · Public Lighting Councilor
Martín Pérez, the Public Lighting Councilor, emphasized that this initiative will definitively complete the change of luminaires across the entire municipality. In addition to reducing energy consumption and improving efficiency, the renovation will lower maintenance costs and move towards a more uniform lighting network adapted to the municipality's current needs.
