Massamagrell hosted the tenth edition of the Youth Correspondents Meeting, an event that consolidates the role of young people as active mediators in local policies for l'Horta Nord and Camp de Morvedre.

The event, which took place last Saturday, was attended by the general director of the Valencian Youth Institute (IVAJ), as well as various municipal representatives and technical staff. The main objective was to strengthen the role of correspondents as a direct communication channel, conveying the concerns and needs of the youth population to their respective councils.

"This type of initiative is vital for building more inclusive municipalities where the administration adapts to the reality of citizens from the ground up."

Under the motto Arrels (Roots), this year's meeting focused on the importance of creating strong ties between young people and their environment. Participants engaged in various activities and group dynamics to share successful experiences and common challenges in managing citizen participation. The project aims not only to listen but also to educate young people in values such as solidarity and respect, fostering active involvement in public life.
For the host town, Massamagrell, this meeting holds special significance, as it has been developing its own correspondents program for nearly a year. The organization of this event represents a milestone in its consolidation. The Councilor for Education highlighted that the day served to learn from other municipalities with more experience and to reinforce a space where local youth have a real capacity for proposing ideas.
The day concluded with the commitment of the participating city councils to continue supporting this network model, understanding that youth participation is not only an educational matter but a necessary driving force for the renewal and improvement of coexistence in the municipalities of the metropolitan area.
