This Saturday, Burjassot hosts a special edition of the program El Retrovisor, which will explore the evolution of Valencians' musical tastes across four generations.

The program, airing at 9:45 PM, will offer a journey through the soundtrack that has defined different eras, from the rock and heavy metal of the 1980s to the most contemporary musical trends popular among young people. Music will be performed live in the studio by a band reinterpreting anthems from the 80s and 90s, promising a trip filled with memories and emotions.
Additionally, it will feature a twerking exhibition, a discipline gaining popularity among new generations as a form of body expression and female empowerment. The zapping section will allow viewers to revisit historical footage of artists like Alejandro Sanz or Marta Sánchez in their early days on Canal 9.
El Retrovisor will also present rankings of the most listened-to songs on digital platforms and focus on the legacy of Valencian artists such as Camilo Sesto or Seguridad Social. To analyze the evolution of tastes and their social impact, musicologist and anthropologist Monty Peiró and singer Clara Laguarda will participate.
The program will reflect on how music contributes to building identities, from the rockers of the 80s to the youth influenced by K-pop, analyzing the phenomenon of urban tribes and the formation of collectives through music and fashion. The fan phenomenon and music's power to unite people and define eras will also be addressed.
