The Burjassot City Council has begun work to modernize and expand the network of electric vehicle charging points in the municipality, aiming to reduce pollution and improve services for citizens.

The Municipal Services Department of Burjassot, through the new concessionaire, has started work on replacing and expanding electric vehicle charging points. These efforts will extend over the coming months, with the aim of offering better service to users and promoting sustainable mobility in the locality.
Existing chargers, located in the parking lot of the Pabellón Cubierto, at the Mercado Municipal l’Almara (Bernat i Baldoví street), and in Plaza Sequera, will be replaced and adapted. Prior to the new installation, electrical disconnection, dismantling, and removal of the pre-existing infrastructure will be carried out.
Additionally, new double semi-fast charging points will be installed in Plaza de la Concordia and on Devesa del Castell street, near number 3. These new points will serve eight vehicles simultaneously. Their installation will require complete civil engineering work, including the connection, manhole, trench, and foundation for the posts.

"More and more, the residents of Burjassot are opting for sustainability, and therefore, the number of electric vehicles in our municipality has increased. We could not be left behind, and for this reason, we are going to expand the charging points while modernizing the existing ones to reach 14 that Burjassot will have. The objective is to provide a better and greater service to the population, who will have more points after the change of the current ones, which has already begun, and the commissioning of the new ones."

The works will last several months, the time necessary to carry out all the connections and ensure the correct operation of the chargers. The city council has indicated that, although it may cause a small inconvenience for users, efforts will be made to keep the execution time to a minimum.
