The Burjassot City Council, through the Citizen Participation department, is activating the Participatory Budgets 2026-2027, a mechanism for citizens to decide on a portion of the municipal budget.

This process, which will run until September 16, will allow residents of Burjassot, aged 16 and over and registered, to submit and endorse improvement proposals for the municipality. All phases will be managed through a specific web platform, facilitating direct participation.
The initial phase for collecting proposals will take place from May 11 to May 22, where each person can submit a maximum of two investment initiatives. Subsequently, from May 25 to May 31, the period for collecting endorsements will open, where citizens can support the submitted proposals.
Proposals that pass this phase will proceed to a feasibility study, which will be conducted from June 1 to July 10. Municipal departments will analyze their technical, administrative, and economic viability. Approved initiatives will be put to a final vote from July 13 to September 9, and the results will be announced on September 16.

"Participatory Budgets are a citizen participation tool that seeks to foster direct citizen involvement in the improvement of Burjassot, allowing residents to propose and prioritize actions of general interest for the municipality."
