From May 1, the blue zone in Patacona is operational and will remain in service until September 30. Regulated parking will operate every day of the week, from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 20:00 hours, to manage the increase in visitors during peak months.
The start of the bathing season also includes the activation of the Lifeguard and Maritime Rescue service, which will initially operate from 11:00 to 19:00 hours. Additionally, security has been reinforced with an increased police presence specifically on the beaches. The Tourist Info offices will open every weekend in May, including this first holiday bridge.
The council has indicated that this deployment marks the progressive start of the summer campaign, which will be completed in the coming weeks with the opening of beach bars, public toilets, and the installation of infrastructures such as access walkways to the sand, shaded areas for people with functional diversity, adapted bathing services, and the cultural initiative “Biblio a la Mar”.
During the summer, the lifeguard service will extend its hours and operate continuously from 10:30 to 19:30 hours on the beaches of Port Saplaya and La Patacona. For the second consecutive year, the city council will install full-body showers on the sand starting in mid-May, as an alternative to the foot showers provided by the Generalitat, whose operation has been irregular in previous seasons.
Likewise, the free municipal bus connecting the different areas of the municipality will extend its service during the high season, including Sundays and holidays. The beaches of Alboraia will once again have quality certifications this year, such as the Q for Tourist Quality and the Qualitur distinction, which recognize the condition and services of the Valencian coast.
