The operation, carried out by agents from the Xirivella-Aldaia-Alaquàs police station, concluded with the arrest of two men, aged 44 and 52, accused of a crime against workers' rights. One of them is also charged with illegal labor trafficking and breach of a precautionary measure.
The investigation began following a joint inspection by the National Police and the Labor and Social Security Inspectorate conducted in October 2025. At that time, it was discovered that 26 people were working without contracts or registration with Social Security, and 24 of them were in an irregular situation in Spain. Working conditions were precarious, with shifts exceeding sixty hours per week and salaries of approximately 1,000 euros per month, all outside legal labor regulations.
During the initial inspection, it was confirmed that the workshop operated without an activity license and manufactured garments for various companies in the sector. Furthermore, it was discovered that two of the workers lived in the workshop itself under unsanitary conditions, being used by the main suspect to ensure continuous operation. A van was used to transport employees daily from the Valencia metropolitan area to the workshop and for transporting finished products.
Investigators uncovered a complex corporate network, with a commercial company issuing invoices to give an appearance of legality to the illicit activity. A second company was found to act as the parent company of the one exploiting the workshop. Bank movements revealed revenues exceeding 300,000 euros in just eight months of activity, originating from client companies.
Following the first inspection, the workshop was sealed. However, agents detected indications that the activity had continued at the same location. This led to a new inspection in February of this year, which confirmed the resumption of operations and that the main suspect continued to manage production orders. After the investigation concluded, the two men were arrested. The main suspect has been brought before judicial authorities, while the other arrested individual was released with the obligation to appear before the judicial authority when required.
