The capital of Turia has established itself as a key hub for national and international tourism during Easter Week. The perfect combination of the traditional events of the Semana Santa Marinera and, especially, unbeatable weather with clear skies and highs near 25 degrees Celsius, has led to a massive arrival of visitors seeking sun and beach during these holidays.
The most significant scene of this tourist success has been witnessed at the iconic Malvarrosa beach. From early morning, thousands of people, both Valencia residents and tourists, have flocked to the sand to enjoy the first swim of the season, sunbathe, or practice water sports.
The Paseo Marítimo has displayed a vibrant and distinctly summery atmosphere, with restaurant terraces completely full, offering local gastronomy. This full occupancy confirms the excellent forecasts from the hospitality sector, which had already anticipated an occupancy rate close to 90% in the city.
The good weather has not only benefited coastal tourism. The maritime neighborhoods of Cabanyal, Canyamelar, and Grao have intensely experienced their traditional processions under a radiant sun, allowing the sacred images to shine in all their splendor before hundreds of faithful and curious onlookers gathered in the streets.
“"Valencia is proving to be an unbeatable destination. We are fortunate to offer a unique Easter Week due to its maritime tradition, and weather that allows our visitors to disconnect and enjoy the beach as if it were the middle of July."
Weather forecasts indicate that this summery atmosphere will continue throughout the Easter weekend, consolidating Valencia as one of the preferred destinations for this holiday period. Citizens and visitors heading to the beaches are advised to take due precautions with sun exposure, use adequate protection, and respect the instructions of the lifeguard services, which are already operating at full capacity along the Valencian coast.
