Valencia CF captain, José Luis Gayà, has expressed his disappointment over the defeat against Celta de Vigo at Mestalla, but emphasized that the team is now fully concentrated on the upcoming league match against Elche, where they will seek all three points with maximum intensity.

Following the match against Celta, Gayà lamented that Valencia CF could not secure their third consecutive home victory, despite the effort and the fans' support. He acknowledged that the comeback by the Galician team was a tough blow, but insisted on the need to move on quickly and focus on the next challenge.

"We wanted the third victory at home, we were close but it couldn't be. The three points we wanted, we wished for, to give to the fans who were cheering until the end, slipped away. It was a shame, but we are already focused on Elche, we have to keep looking at each match, it's three more points and we are going to go all out to get the three points."

The left-back played the match with a protective mask due to a cheekbone injury sustained earlier in Seville. He explained that, despite training with it throughout the week to get used to it, it felt uncomfortable at the beginning of the match, affecting some actions, but he stressed that his priority is always to help the team.
Analyzing the team's performance, Gayà noted that in the first half they showed good defensive discipline but lacked precision with the ball. In the second half, Celta improved with substitutions, and Valencia CF struggled to adapt, conceding two quick goals that were decisive in the final result.
