The Teatro Círculo de Benimaclet in València will inaugurate the exhibition The Color Within You by artist Candela Maldonado next Thursday, April 16, a pictorial proposal exploring vulnerability and self-portraiture.

The exhibition, curated by Natividad Navalón and Teresa Cháfer, invites personal introspection, seeking connection with oneself and celebrating the multiplicity that shapes identity. Through play and painting, Maldonado offers a space of refuge, tenderness, and self-acceptance.
Painting becomes a medium for recognizing oneself in constant change, with visible layers, errors, and decisions that are part of the creative and vital process. The exhibition will be open to the public until April 19.
Candela Maldonado, born in València, is a final-year student of the Fine Arts Degree at the Universitat Politècnica de València. Her work focuses on painting, graphic arts, and illustration, with portraiture and the expressiveness of color as central elements. Her reflections cover themes such as identity construction, childhood, the passage of time, grief, and artistic processes.
The inauguration event, with free admission, will take place on April 16 at 5:00 PM in the same hall of the Teatro Círculo.
