The National Police have identified 160 radicals, including five Italians, and seized various dangerous materials en route to the Copa del Rey final in Seville, preventing serious incidents.

The National Police have intercepted a total of 160 radicals heading to Seville for the Copa del Rey final. Among those identified are five Italian radicals who were traveling with Atlético de Madrid supporters. Officers acted in the vicinity of La Carlota (Córdoba) and in the Andalusian capital, confiscating a large amount of material.
The police intervention began the previous night when two buses of Atlético de Madrid supporters were detected near Écija. In this initial operation, 91 people were identified, and prohibited material such as sprays, rubber bands, and wooden sticks were confiscated. Subsequently, in Seville, 60 Real Sociedad radicals were identified, and 95 metal sticks, mouthguards, gloves, and back protectors were seized from them.

"It should be noted that it was quite a complicated night, an extensive night, but, fortunately and thanks to the important work carried out by the National Police in terms of planning, but also in the execution of this operation, we have managed to ensure that there were no serious incidents during the night."

Among the confiscated material, a 'ultra cap' with internal protections stands out. This item, according to authorities, is the first time it has been detected in a radical group in the city and possibly nationwide. This new material suggests an evolution in the protection methods used by groups seeking confrontation.
The Government sub-delegate in Seville reported that, in addition to foreign radicals, members of local radical groups were identified as "infiltrated" among the team's supporters. He emphasized that the organization of these groups is based on ideological affinity rather than football. To date, no clashes or arrests have occurred, and authorities continue to monitor the situation with drones and helicopters.
