The Paterna City Council, through the Local Police, has intensified forest surveillance in La Vallesa and La Canyada with drones and specialized units for the Easter holidays, a period of high visitor influx.
This special operation, combining ground and aerial resources, primarily aims to ensure citizen safety and the protection of these natural areas. Agents from the Drone Surveillance Unit (UVED) and the Emergency and Environment Unit (UEMA) are carrying out control and prevention tasks.

"This reinforcement responds to the City Council's commitment to protecting our natural environment and the safety of those who enjoy it during periods of special influx like Easter. We continue to advance in incorporating technology and resources to anticipate any risk and act with maximum effectiveness."
The Deputy Mayor for Interior, Núria Campos, highlighted the importance of this operation in strengthening surveillance in a sensitive area like La Vallesa, emphasizing the coordination between units and the use of advanced tools to improve prevention and response capabilities to any incident.
This initiative complements the permanent surveillance system that the council maintains active throughout the year through the Local Police Control Center. This system, known as AVISPAT, operates 24 hours a day and integrates advanced technology such as smoke detectors, thermal cameras, and the water cannon system of the GUARDIAN network, one of the largest hydraulic fire prevention infrastructures in Europe.

"Prevention is fundamental, so it is essential to take extreme precautions and respect the rules to avoid risky situations, especially during periods of high influx like Easter."
