The 12th edition of the RunCáncer circuit, which has the main support of the Diputació de València, CaixaBank, and Fundación 'la Caixa', continues its charitable journey. The new Circuit de Carreres by Diputació de València, an initiative promoted together with the institution, is integrated into the RunCáncer event calendar and arrives in these towns with competitive races, completing a calendar of over 100 walks.
On Friday, April 24, Montserrat will join RunCáncer with a 5-kilometer race. The event, originally scheduled for March 6, was postponed due to a rain alert. Finally, the charity event against cancer will be held starting at 7:00 PM. Along with the race, there will also be the traditional walk, covering the same 5-kilometer route.
The same weekend, Paterna, in the Horta Nord region, will take over. On Sunday, April 26, the municipality will hold its 4.5-kilometer race. Runners, who will have the opportunity to complete a solidary double header, will start at 10:00 AM. Afterward, walk participants will also march through the town's streets on the same 4.5-kilometer circuit. Although RunCáncer has included races since its first editions, they had never before been part of a structured circuit within the program itself.
This super solidary weekend will also be rounded off with two more RunCáncer walks in Benetússer and Aielo de Malferit on Sunday, April 26.
Registrations, which are 100% charitable for all events, races, and walks, are available on the official RunCáncer website. Bib numbers for participating in the walks (not the races) can also be purchased in person at the headquarters of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Valencia (Avenida del Puerto, 13) and in the Sports departments of El Corte Inglés stores in Pintor Sorolla, Avenida de Francia, Nuevo Centro, and Hipercor Ademuz.
As with all RunCáncer events, 100% of the proceeds from bib numbers are entirely dedicated to funding oncological research projects promoted by the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Valencia. This initiative strengthens the social and health impact, mobilizing thousands of people across the province each year and enabling the development of over 50 research projects. In the 2026 edition, RunCáncer has already held its first eleven events, gathering 12,000 participants and raising nearly 55,000 euros.
