The Greens/European Free Alliance group in the European Parliament recently published a video on its social media featuring Vicent Marzà, a member of Compromís. In this audiovisual piece, the former Minister of Education reviewed aspects of his life, from his beginnings as a teacher to his entry into politics, including conversations with his father, his mother's influence, and his passion for cycling.
Despite the friendly and personal tone of the interview, there was a moment when Marzà intervened decisively. The discussion reached the topic of paella and the controversy over whether it should include seafood, a subject the MEP promptly cut short.
“"Eh, no, listen, enough."
With this phrase, uttered with a laugh, Marzà made it clear that, despite his willingness to discuss other issues with his group in Brussels, the traditional Valencian paella recipe is a non-negotiable boundary.
