The Valencia City Council has announced a new call for subsidies, with a budget of 75,000 euros, to strengthen the presence of music in the 2026 Fallas festivities, aimed at the city's Fallas commissions.

This initiative, which the Local Government Board will soon approve, seeks to support the hiring of musical groups, such as bands, 'tabal i dolçaina' groups, and other formations that participated in parades and official events during the past Fallas calendar.
The call is aimed at commissions integrated into the Junta Central Fallera (JCF) that are non-profit and meet the requirements established in the bases. With this line of support, the Valencian consistory promotes cultural and festive activity linked to the Fallas and contributes to facilitating the presence of music in the celebrations.
The aid can cover up to 100% of the taxable base of the eligible expense. If the total volume of applications exceeds the available credit, the distribution will be made proportionally among the admitted entities. Applications must be processed exclusively electronically, and the submission period is twenty calendar days from the day following the official publication of the extract in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP).
Beneficiary commissions must subsequently justify the expense with the corresponding documentation, including invoices and payment receipts. Payments must be made directly to the musical groups issuing the invoices and cannot be made in cash when the justified expense reaches or exceeds 1,000 euros. Invoices must be dated within the period covering the 2025 and 2026 annuities, taking into account the celebration dates of the Fallas.
With this call, the City Council reinforces its support for the activity of the Fallas commissions and the musical fabric that accompanies one of the most representative cultural expressions of the city, within the framework of the municipal strategy València Music City.
