The events took place on Thursday afternoon in the Abastos district of Valencia. According to information provided by the National Police, two men carried out a robbery with force at a jewelry buying and selling establishment.

The investigation revealed that one of the assailants dismounted from the motorcycle and, using a hammer, shattered the store's display window. He then reached in to steal various pieces of jewelry, which he quickly stored in a backpack.

After the robbery, both fled at high speed on the motorcycle. It was later confirmed that the vehicle had been previously stolen in the town of Xirivella. Furthermore, the license plate on the motorcycle did not match, as it belonged to another motorcycle that had been permanently deregistered since 2024.

A key witness, who was riding an electric bicycle, followed the suspects after the robbery and observed them abandoning the motorcycle, discarding the helmets and clothing they had used. Thanks to the information provided to the CIMACC 091 control room, agents from the Immediate Criminal Response Group (GRIC) launched a search operation.

After several sweeps, the agents managed to locate the suspects in a hospitality establishment, where they were intercepted while, apparently, celebrating the heist. At the time of the arrest, numerous stolen jewelry pieces were recovered, along with the hammer used to break the display case and two store display stands, all found inside a backpack. The helmets and clothing they had discarded during their escape were also recovered.

The arrested individuals have been placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities as alleged perpetrators of a robbery with force, in addition to vehicle theft and use, and document forgery.
