The Local Police of València have arrested two individuals following a mobile phone theft in a park and their alleged involvement in a street brawl with stone-throwing in the Sant Antoni neighborhood.

The most recent events occurred last Saturday around 11:00 PM, when the Local Police were alerted to the theft of a mobile phone in a park located on Calle Ministro Luis Mayans with Almassora, in València. After taking the victim's statement, officers launched an operation to locate the alleged perpetrators.
Another patrol managed to intercept the vehicle in which the suspects had allegedly fled near Primado Reig Avenue. After identifying them and recovering the stolen material, officers arrested the two men.
According to municipal sources, both detainees are also believed to be involved in the mass brawl recorded last Thursday on Calle Bilbao, in the Sant Antoni de València neighborhood. This incident had already been publicly denounced by the Sant Antoni-Zaidia Neighborhood Association, which warned on social media of a new “street brawl” between young people attacking each other with stones, creating dangerous situations for pedestrians.
Residents warn that this is not the first time such an incident has occurred in the area. The neighborhood association stated that it is not an isolated event, recalling that in June of last year a similar incident took place in the same area, involving stone-throwing, the use of knives, and the presence of residents in the public street.
This weekend's police action has thus allowed for the connection of both incidents and the arrest of the alleged individuals, in a context that once again highlights security concerns in the Sant Antoni neighborhood.
