The Traffic Group of the Civil Guard in the Valencian Community has intensified controls, leading to the investigation of 257 drivers during March 2026. These individuals are considered alleged perpetrators of road safety offenses, with a particular focus on driving without a license and under the influence of substances.
Of the total cases recorded, 116 drivers were investigated for driving without the corresponding permit or license. Within this group, 54 had lost all their license points, 14 had their license provisionally revoked by judicial decision, 2 had a definitive revocation, and 46 had never obtained a driving license.
In addition to license-related infractions, 131 drivers were detected under the influence of alcohol. There were also 6 cases of reckless driving, 1 for speeding, and 3 for driving with drugs in their system, underscoring the variety of detected risky behaviors.
By province, Valencia concentrated the highest number of investigations, with 59 drivers for lacking a license and 59 for alcohol impairment. In Castellón, 21 drivers were investigated for each of these infractions. Finally, in Alicante, 36 were for lacking a license and 51 for alcohol, in addition to other offenses such as speeding and reckless driving.
