Morant stated that the Generalitat cannot reject measures it knows are beneficial for Valencians. These statements were made during her intervention at the Conexus Foundation, where she emphasized the commitment of the Government of Spain to the Valencian Community.
“"The Generalitat cannot reject measures it knows are good for Valencians."
The Valencian socialist leader has defended the reform of the autonomous funding system, which she considers a proposal that, finally, offers fair funding for the Valencian Community. This model would mean almost 3.7 billion euros annually, allocated to strengthen fundamental public services, support investment in own infrastructures, and boost Valencian economic activity.
Regarding housing, Morant pointed out that it is a right that has become one of the main concerns of citizens. She highlighted the approval of the first Housing Law, which considers it a fundamental public social infrastructure, and the new State Housing Plan, which triples state investment until 2030.
For the Valencian Community, this translates into 798 million euros for the construction of new protected housing, triple that of the previous plan. She stressed that protected housing will remain so permanently and its allocation will be made with objective and transparent criteria.
“"Society is fed up with scoundrels, with people who skip queues and speculate with a basic good."
Furthermore, the Secretary General of PSPV-PSOE has advocated for an entrepreneurial Generalitat that places science and innovation at the center of its political project. She denounced that the burden of infrastructure investment in the Valencian Community has been borne by the Government of Spain, with 631 euros per inhabitant in this legislature, while the Generalitat has only invested 332 euros.
The government delegate, Pilar Bernabé, also criticized the Generalitat's stance on the state housing plan, assuring that they do not like it because "it dismantles their little scheme" and that the plan seeks to bring order to the management of protected housing.
