The rock band Victorias has recently released 'El uno por el otro', an EP that serves as a bridge between their 2025 album, Emocional, and a new project they will record this summer and release in early 2027. The band will present this new material live in València this Saturday at the Jerusalem Club.
Immersed in an extensive tour that has already sold out in Madrid and Zaragoza, Victorias promises a live performance described as "exciting, rhythmic, and passionate." The press release highlights their high-quality stage presence and a frontman who evokes a crooner with abundant strength and class, a rare combination in the national scene. The group blends "melodic heart, punk soul."
According to the band, "enjoying a show by the Sevillians is witnessing unbridled pop rage, transparent and uninhibited delivery, but above all, a celebration of melody." They thus champion pop "without frills, without a safety net, but with all the muscle, intensity, and emotion of punk."
“"In my parents' car, they didn't play the Beatles, Zeppelin, The Who, or The Smiths. In that Renault 5, they played Luis Miguel, Pancho Céspedes, and above all, Nino Bravo. At full volume and all hours."
Ire Díez, the band's vocalist, is the grand-nephew of the renowned composer Manuel Alejandro. Although she prefers to keep this melodic heritage more in the family tree than as a primary claim, this influence is evident in the band's songwriting, making them special and unique. Díez recalls how the music playing on family trips was dominated by artists like Luis Miguel, Pancho Céspedes, and especially Nino Bravo, at considerable volume.
