Vicente Ibor Asensi, born in Valencia on February 16, 1965, has forged a notable career as a recognized criminal lawyer and has left a significant mark on local politics as the former mayor of Paiporta.

Son of lawyer Vicente Ibor Company, Ibor Asensi followed in his father's footsteps, establishing himself as a prominent professional in criminal law. His dedication and effort were recognized on December 11, 2009, when the Plenary of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers awarded him the Medal of Merit in the Service of Spanish Lawyers, while serving as the ninth deputy of the Valencia Bar Association.
Currently, Vicente Ibor Asensi holds the position of third deputy on the ICAV Governing Board and, between 2023 and 2025, served as a counselor for the Valencian Council of Bar Associations. His personal life is also linked to Paiporta, where he established his home with his wife, Chelo Lisarde, and where he developed an important political career.

Strengthening citizen trust in institutions is fundamental for him.

In the political sphere, Ibor Asensi, a member of the Partido Popular, was elected mayor of Paiporta in the 2007 elections, securing an absolute majority with 12 out of 21 councilors. During his mandate, he promoted projects such as the construction of the Municipal Library, the inauguration of three schools and an institute, and the creation of a new Local Police headquarters.
Among his most notable works are the extension of San Jordi street with a retaining wall in the Barranco del Poyo, the remodeling of the Municipal Market, and the transformation of the ground floor of the Town Hall into a single office with transparent access. He also improved the town's roundabouts and entrances, and paid special attention to urban cleanliness, automated garden irrigation, and the safety of children's playgrounds. Furthermore, he was a strong advocate for Valencian culture, supporting the Fallas, Popular Festivals, bullfighting clubs, and 'tiro y arrastre' (a traditional sport).
