The proposed new date has already been submitted by the FDM to the Coastal Demarcation and is awaiting authorization. The aim is for the event to take place, as originally planned, at Cabanyal beach between 11:30 AM and 8:00 PM, with free access for all citizens, as reported by the city council in a statement.
The festival reaches its 25th edition as one of the city's «most unique and attractive» proposals in the sports and leisure calendar. During the event, the sky of the Valencian coast will be filled with color with the participation of all types of kites, from traditional models to giant, acrobatic, and three-dimensional kites, in a large flight area set up for the occasion.
“"The Kite Festival has established itself as one of the most unique events on the calendar, bringing together thousands of people, both citizens and visitors, each year."
The event will feature specialized pilots who will offer exhibitions throughout the day, combining spectacle and technique in a unique setting by the Mediterranean Sea. The program will also include free children's workshops, where boys and girls can learn to build and fly their own kites, fostering active participation and learning through play.
These activities, along with the free flight zones, make the spectacle a proposal designed for family enjoyment and to introduce this practice to new audiences. In addition to the exhibitions and workshops, the day will be completed with moments of free participation. The celebration will take place in an area of approximately 15,000 square meters, prepared to ensure the safety and enjoyment of participants and attendees.
