The city of Valencia will host Informatics Week 2026 from April 21 to 23 at Las Naves, a key event for the Valencian technological ecosystem that will bring together professionals, companies, and universities to address the challenges of the digital world.

Organized by the Official College of Computer Engineering of the Valencian Community (COIICV), this gathering consolidates its role as a reference forum for the strategic analysis of technological transformation. Under the motto “Technology with purpose: designing the digital future,” the event, which collaborates with over 60 entities, promotes reflection on a more sustainable, reliable, and people-centered technological model.
In this twenty-first edition, more than 50 experts from the ICT sector will address trends and key technological challenges, focusing on their social influence and the improvement of citizen well-being. The dynamic format aims to foster knowledge exchange and cooperation among different stakeholders.

"We are at a stage where it is not enough to innovate; it is essential to define where we want to advance as a digital society. Talking about responsible artificial intelligence, technological sovereignty, or sustainability implies making decisions with long-term impact. This Informatics Week is born precisely with that vocation to generate reflection, but also to drive action."

Alejandro Blasco · President of COIICV
The president of COIICV, Alejandro Blasco, highlights the strategic focus of this edition at a crucial moment for the Valencian economic and social sector. He emphasizes that the event reinforces the role of computer engineering as a key discipline to ensure that technological development is secure, ethical, and aligned with the real needs of citizens and organizations.
Informatics Week 2026 will kick off on Tuesday, April 21, with a face-to-face session at Las Naves, dedicated to the evolution of digital services in public administration and the challenges of citizen-oriented digitalization. On Wednesday, April 22, the day will focus on sustainable IT solutions for businesses, including topics such as quantum computing and industrial cybersecurity. Finally, on Thursday, April 23, it will host the XXI Congress of Computer Engineering of the Valencian Community, which will analyze the impact of information technologies in various professional sectors and education.
In parallel to the in-person sessions, two online seminars will be held: one on automating security operations with Wazuh on Tuesday, and another on how AI transforms software development on Thursday. The program will conclude with the Service Management Institute (SMI) session on excellence in service management.
The grand finale of Informatics Week will be the presentation of the Sapiens Awards, granted by COIICV at the Veles e Vents building in Valencia. These awards recognize professionals, companies, and public administrations that excel in the ethical and social use of IT, as well as in valuing computer engineering and its professionals.
