The ninety-kilometer cycling event will have the most significant impact on circulation, especially in the southern area of the city. The start will be from the intersection of Isabel de Villena and Mendizábal streets, in Malva-rosa, heading towards the V-21 and the Sierra Calderona. This will lead to traffic cuts in the neighborhood from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
The return to Valencia, which will involve cuts from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, will be via the CV-30, Maestro Rodrigo, Pío Baroja, 9 de Octubre, and the entire southern boulevard up to the Assut de l’Or bridge with the Alameda promenade. The only routes for entering and exiting southwest Valencia during the event will be the underpass of Avenida del Cid, Ausiàs March - Pista de Silla, and the underpass of the Saler/V-15 highway.
The other events, the swimming race (from 7:15 AM to 9:15 AM at Malva-rosa beach) and the running race (from 10:25 AM to 5:20 PM along the old Turia riverbed with the finish line at the City of Arts and Sciences), will not generate the same mobility issues.
In addition to traffic cuts, there will be parking restrictions. From 10:00 PM on Wednesday until 10:00 PM on Sunday, parking is prohibited on the Alameda promenade, between the Falleras Mayores de Valencia square and Ibiza street, as well as on the side closest to the central garden of the Alameda promenade, between Ibiza and Tres de Abril de 1979 street.
Public transport will also be affected. The passage of the cycling event through the Saler roundabout will force the tram to be cut between 9:00 AM and 2:15 PM, affecting the route between the City of Arts and Sciences and Oceanogràfic stops. A total of 25 lines of EMT Valencia will be affected, and detours can be consulted on the EMT website and social media.
