This initiative, promoted by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), aims to strengthen cooperation between cities in cultural matters. The proposal, which must now be ratified by the Municipal Plenary, seeks to establish a stable space for technical and political collaboration between participating local entities.
As explained by the responsible municipal delegation, the accession will allow Valencia to share experiences in cultural management, programming, and urban innovation. It will also facilitate participation in a common work agenda that includes technical meetings and shared strategic projects.
“"Joining this network will contribute to strengthening Valencia's cultural positioning, especially in processes such as the European Capital of Culture."
Once the Plenary gives its final approval, the council will carry out the necessary administrative procedures to make the accession effective and formally communicate it to the FEMP. This integration also aims to improve joint representation before the Government of Spain and European institutions to boost the development of the local cultural ecosystem.
