The event stands out for its internationalization, with 70% of foreign athletes, and its high hotel occupancy, exceeding 81%. However, the competition will entail significant disruptions to traffic and public transport, especially during the morning.
The race is divided into three segments. The swimming portion (1,900 meters) will take place at Malva-rosa beach between 07:15 and 09:15 AM. The cycling segment (90 km), which will have the greatest impact on mobility, will start from Malva-rosa towards the V-21 and Sierra Calderona, returning via the CV-30, Mestre Rodrigo, Pío Baroja, 9 d'Octubre, and the Bulevar Sur to the Puente de l'Assut de l'Or, scheduled from 08:30 AM to 02:30 PM.
Finally, the running race (21.1 km) will follow the old Turia riverbed, with the finish line located at the City of Arts and Sciences, from 10:25 AM to 05:20 PM.
Due to the closure of the Bulevar Sur and a large part of the city's west, entry and exit routes from the southwest will be restricted. The only available options during the cycling event will be Avenida del Cid (via the underpass), Ausiàs March (connecting with Pista de Silla), and the V-15 (El Saler Highway, also via the underpass).
Additionally, parking restrictions have been established in key areas such as Paseo de la Alameda (between Plaza de las Falleras Mayores and Eivissa street), the Malva-rosa area (José Ballester Gozalvo, Mendizábal, and Enginyer Fausto Elío), and Maestro Rodrigo (the side adjacent to the orchard between Camp de Túria and La Safor).
Public transport will also be affected: 25 EMT Valencia bus lines will experience diversions or partial closures, and Metrovalencia tram service (Line 10) will be interrupted between the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències and Oceanogràfic stops from 09:00 AM to 02:15 PM.
With over 100 professionals, the event features prominent figures such as Sam Laidlow, Ironman 2023 world champion, and Lena Meißner, European champion. Athletes are competing for spots in the Nice World Championship and a share of the $40,000 prize money. The organization reminds the 3,000 participants to review their checklist before the start.
