Valencia Basket ends a tough week with another defeat

Valencia Basket has concluded a challenging week with its fourth consecutive defeat, falling 104-102 against Manresa in a close ACB League match.

The 'taronja' team has brought a fateful week to an end with another defeat, their fourth in four games. The Valencian squad lost 104-102 against Manresa, in a very even match that was decided in the final moments. This new setback jeopardizes their second place in the regular phase of the ACB League.
The game started with Valencia Basket being more accurate in front of the basket, but the Catalans reacted to somewhat equalize the score at the end of the first quarter (18-22). The 'taronja' team continued with a good rhythm and achieved an eight-point lead in the second period, which they managed to maintain until halftime (48-56).
In the second half, Manresa, spurred on by their fans, improved their aim and managed to adjust the score (64-66). A former player of the Catalan team gave the visitors some breathing room again (78-82). The equality was maximum, and the midpoint of the last quarter was reached with a tie at 86. A basket from a Valencia Basket player gave Pedro Martínez's team an interesting lead with three minutes remaining (94-100), but the local reaction ended up turning the game around.
Valencia Basket remains second in the League, but sees its pursuers, Barça and Baskonia, against whom they still have to play, dangerously closing in.
